Decades of business operations experience in corporate America and higher education led Kim N. Carswell to start Persona Affairs, a branding firm, in 2001. She serves as the President and Chief Engagement Officer and counsels clients worldwide. Kim is an influential business leader who was honored nationally by the American Business Women’s Association's (ABWA) as 2016 American Business Women.
At the heart of it, Kim has over 30 years of elevating the personal brands of men and women and the positioning of their companies. She is a conversationalist who has a passion for exotic teas from around the globe. Thanks to Kim's international appeal, three of the world's largest social media platforms selected her to beta test Facebook, Twitter, and HootSuite's business models and she was awarded the "Top 1% LinkedIn User" distinction in 2013.
For the past 5 years, Kim is an Advisory Board Member and Guest Lecturer for Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Interactive Computing. Kim draws on her business acumen to counsel various clients in personal branding, conflict resolution, and social media such as American Society of Civil Engineers, Delta Airlines, National Black MBA, Federal Highway Administration, The Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change and YWCA.
Kim is also Founder and CEO of the non-profit organization Pink Power MasterMind Conference. She partners with the WNBA Atlanta Dream in producing a top-notch professional development event to raise the brand awareness of industry experts and earning power of women through leadership, entrepreneurship and leadership.
Celebrating through dance is how Kim shares in her client's successes which expand as far as the White House, Google, Huffington Post, Apple, Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses. Currently, she uses her international prowess by authoring three branding guidebooks and training entrepreneurs, rising professionals, and speakers on how best to integrate their purpose into self-marketing practices.
Kim is a New York native who relocated to Atlanta to raise her family. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Georgia State University and pursued a Master of Science in Conflict Management from Kennesaw State University. Among other endeavors, she acquired certifications in Mediation, Negotiations, and International Kingian Nonviolence Conflict Reconciliation from The University of Rhode Island and Emory University.
